Hello! My name is Jill Borchardt. I am from Oak Creek but moved to Muskego in 2015 with my husband and two children, Addyson (15) and Mason (11). They both keep us on our toes and keep a smile on everyone's face! Addyson will be a sophomore at Muskego High School this year and Mason will be in sixth grade at Muskego Lakes Middle School. Addyson plays tennis for MHS and is a second degree black belt! Mason enjoys participating in Boy Scouts, being a part of the artistic and backstage crew for the school play, and going fishing, and hunting! I enjoy spending time with my family, relaxing, reading, vacations, and going to concerts.
This summer we took a family vacation to the Dominican Republic. We spent a week in Punta Cana. We spent lots of time swimming in the ocean and pool, went snorkeling and parasailing, and visited the gorgeous island of Saona. In August Addyson and I took a girls' trip to Florida with two of her friends and their moms. We spent lots of time at the beach and playing games. We enjoyed learning all about the history of Boston and the Revolutionary War. We also spent some time up north at my parents' cabin near Minocqua. There is something that everyone enjoys doing up there!
I graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a Bachelor's degree in elementary/middle education. I am certified to teach 1-8 grades and I have science and social studies licenses. In July 2012, I earned my Master's degree and reading teacher license from Viterbo University. I am always looking for opportunities to learn!
This will be my nineteenth year at Washington-Caldwell! I have taught every grade (K-5) and several classes at the middle school level (6-8). After being in first grade for the past seven years, I am excited to be doing intervention again. I enjoy getting to work with and know such a wide range of learners!
Some of my favorites:
Food: Mexican--especially tacos, quesadillas, chimichangas!
Store: TJ Maxx/Marshalls and Amazon
Drink: Coke Zero
Restaurant: Panera or Noodles
Hobbies: going to concerts, spending time with family, reading
